Our certified hippocampus trainers offer lessons in small groups or individual lessons - on campus or at your home. Our trainers are horse people with a lot of passion for gentle handling of horses and creating a harmonious interaction and connection with a horse. Under the wing of Silke & Janek Vallentin, they enjoyed several years of training on the hippocampus and regularly attend advanced training courses there.

Silke was a Parelli instructor with heart and soul for over 20 years and can fall back on more than 30 years of active experience and development with horses. Despite her great wealth of knowledge, Silke herself regularly takes part in training courses and is constantly developing. Today she combines Haute Ecole and healthy exercise with liberty work and trust work, adding to the mix her talent to pick up people and horses at their current stage of development and needs.

Sibylle Vogt

Has been attacked by the "horse virus" 1993 and was since then on the road as a recreational rider. She tried different riding styles and finally fulfilled her dream of owning a horse, which initially turned into a nightmare. In search of a solution, Sibylle met Silke Vallentin in 2018 and booked a training camp in the Hippocampus. After several courses she realized how important it is to notice the character of a horse, acknowledge its needs and work on the connection to humans. So Sibylle began to immerse herself in this new world. The decision to become an instructor was only the next logical step: She would like to share her knowledge and skills gained on the path she has taken herself together with her horse in order to promote harmony and a real partnership.

Horses have accompanied her since she was born and her love for them has determined her life to this day.
Katharina works in the field of child and youth welfare, gained experience in riding therapy and completed various training courses for people and horses. Among other things, species-appropriate horse husbandry, hoof health, Ortho-Bionomy and the basics of traditional Chinese medicine.
In search of fair and loving communication with horses, she finally ended up with Silke.

Her love for horses began at the age of three. Since then she has been fascinated by animals. In 2021 she fulfilled her dream of owning a horse. In search of a fine, species-appropriate method to teach the horse healthy movements and exercises up to Haute Ecole, the two took part in their first course on the hippocampus in 2022. A year later, being a student in residency, she began her training as an instructor at Hippocampus in order to bring people and horses closer to harmonious communication.

Janek Vallentin
Junior Chef, Horsemanship Trainer & Horse Osteopath
Janek has grown up around horses and decided to get into the family business in 2015. Since then he has been assisting his mother on courses and camps. Janek was able to expand the joint portfolio in 2018 to include an osteopathic training with Barbara Welter-Böller. He also has additional qualifications in areas such as taping and craniosacral therapy. Today Janek offers individual and group lessons: high quality horsemanship, influenced by his osteopathic expertise. His focus is on healthy movement, trust work, loading training, liberty training and biomechanics.

Ilona Schade

Has been addicted to horses for 40 years and has already gained experience in active hunting, classic tournament sports and as an eventing rider. She also completed her Trainer C in Driving in 2017. This was followed by further training at the Hippocampus, in order to get deeper into matters of horsemanship - a topic that she has not let go of to this day. We are therefore very pleased to welcome you to our team in 2020. Ilona's aim is to give people more fun with their horses - through serenity training and trust work.

After several riding partnerships Simone decided in 2009 to meet her first own horse, a short time later the QH mare Tari arrived.
As the partnership with horses is very important to her, Simone decided to learn Natural Horsemanship.
In search of more knowledge regarding fine aids, gymnastics, freestyle and liberty she finally came across Silke and Janek in 2015. Since then, Simone has been regularly educating herself on the Hippocampus, and the decision to become an instructor was consequently made in January 2022 as the next step.
Simone is particularly fond of young horses. Using the curiosity of the horse and playfully turning a youngster into a reliable partner has already filled her with joy and happiness several times.

Until she was 17, she enjoyed long rides through the woods near Glashütte. In search of refinement and knowledge, she met Silke in 2013 at a theory taster evening in Bröhsen. after that evening it was clear that if Fanny ever owned her own horse, she would come back. This was the case in June 2021, when the paint gelding "Little Joe" trotted into her life. Since then, Fanny has been regularly training at Hippocampus-Vallentin, while her horses enjoy life in the paddock paradise on our premises. In 2023, instructor training was the next big step on her journey. We are very happy that Fanny regularly passes on our philosophy to the little ones and teenagers in the form of children's and youth riding lessons at the Hippocampus and we are lucky to have her and her energetic family with us.

Sabrina attended her first horsemanship course in 1996 and has been studying the hippocampus methods since 2014. Her passion is communication and handling the sensitive Spanish horses.
Her focus: the connection between horse and human and loading training. Due to the experience with her own Spanish horse, which was genetically pre-programmed for a physiological imbalance, her specific focus is on eye training and healthy movement. On request, she can bring her mobile horse playground to class.
We enjoy every camp on her lovingly designed grounds.

She has been an integral part of Silke's show team for many years. The two not only share a love for horses but also a long friendship. Juliette has been living and working with horses for over 10 years, and her lessons are still accompanied by a joy of playfulness and ease. Horses have been an integral part of her life since she was a child.
The relationship with the horse has always been in the foreground.
In 2012 she got to know the Parelli program and has since attended several courses with various instructors (including Silke Vallentin). Franziska would like to pass on her knowledge to help people to better understand their horses and to build the basis for mutual communication.
In the summer of 2022, Franziska began her studies at Hippocampus in order to be able to delve even deeper into the topics of Haute Ecole, healthy exercise and liberty work.
